A Step Towards the Next Generation of AI That Enhances Human Thinking

I am pleased to announce the publication of my pre-print on OSF, a significant milestone in my journey as an AI researcher and developer. This work marks a key advance in building a thinking AI that does not merely respond but engages in a natural and profound hybrid dialogue with humans.

The vision driving this research is to create an AI that actively collaborates with people—not just as an assistant or automated problem solver, but as a critical and reflective interlocutor. In this model, the system understands when to intervene to add value and, crucially, when to remain silent, respecting the rhythm and dynamics of human conversation.

This approach goes beyond current paradigms, where AI often dominates the conversation or limits itself to predefined answers. By fostering a balanced dialogical coexistence, we aim to enhance human capacity to think, question, and create.

I firmly believe that the future of artificial intelligence lies in developing systems that grasp the complex play of human interaction—including the space of silence as an essential part of the cognitive and relational process. This pre-print opens new avenues for research and development, with the goal of building AI that accompanies, challenges, and expands the mental horizon of individuals.

I invite the academic, technological, and business communities to explore this work and join the conversation that redefines the role of artificial intelligence in our intellectual and social lives.
